Pazhou Ferry Terminal officially opens in Guangzhou

Located in south China's Guangdong Province, the Pazhou Ferry Terminal was put into operation on Thursday. Passengers now can travel between Hong Kong and Guangzhou by ferry in two hours. Passengers flying out of the mainland will not have to go through immigration and customs clearance upon arriving at the airport.

Airlines have set up luggage check-in services at the Pazhou Ferry Terminal. Hong Kong Chief Executive said that the connection between Pazhou and Hong Kong International Airport demonstrates the complementary advantages of the Greater Bay Area.

The new route can give full play to the unique advantage of Hong Kong's international flight network and help the Canton Fair become internationalized. This can also enhance the development and competitiveness of the Greater Bay Area," he added.
