







Kachin State Government held a ceremony to mark the 77th Myanmar Fire Services Day falling on the 5th of May.
In the ceremony at the Basic Education High School No. 1 in Myitkyina Township, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan urged members of the Fire Services Department to live in accordance with the 10 rules of conduct they must act towards the public, to meet the needs of the public, to protect lives and property from all kinds of dangers, to continuously study the evolving firefighting industry and to make efforts to improve efficiency.
And, the Chief Minister and officials toured and inspected the displays of firefighting and modern search and rescue equipment in the gallery. 2 million Kyats were also provided to the members of the Fire Services Department who demonstrated firefighting in this ceremony. Myanmar Fire Services Day was designated on 5 May 1946 to commemorate the establishment date of the Myanmar Fire Brigade. Myanmar marks Fire Services Day every year.
