Swedish royals visit Estonia

Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia on Tuesday arrived in Estonia on an official three day trip. It was their second visit to the Baltic nation in over 30 years.

The royal couple was welcomed by Estonian President Alar Karis and his wife Sirje in the country’s medieval capital, Tallinn. The royal visit will focus on boosting cooperation between the two countries in the security and defense sectors, economy and in the field of education, research and innovation, the Estonian President’s office said.
