Preparations Underway: Preparations for Motion Picture Academy Award Event

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, in his capacity as Chairman of the Organizing Committee on the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Event, inspected the preparations for the event at an open-air theatre near Nay Pyi Taw City Hall on Tuesday evening.

During the inspection, at the briefing hall, the Union Minister heard reports on matters including security measures, broadcast, awards presentation, invitation, transport, healthcare and readiness of stage for the event. In his response, the Union Minister called on efforts to make arrangements in advance to ensure that the Myanmar Motion Picture Academy Award Event on May 6 is successfully held.

He also called on concerned officials to focus on the security measures as the Event may be criticized and disrupted by malicious people. And, the Union Minister inspected stage preparation and LED and lights decoration.
