





The Ministry of Labor’s tripartite cooperation is underway with the Government, employees and employers to turn out more skilled workers and to create more job opportunities. Meanwhile, in Bago Industry Zone, the Labor Organization and the Workplace Coordination Committee (WCC) have been working together to implement the Workplace stability and to improve the productivity.
Production Manager, Bago Sports Gloves, Aung Zaw Moe, said " We give 5,200 kyats daily fees plus overtime fees. Working hour is 8 hours a day and 16 hours overtime a week. The salary is in line with the instruction ofthe Social Security Board (SSB)."
Representative of Labor, Naing Aung Lwin, said "This factory provides a lot of subsidies. Starting from the time of employment, annual bonuses and skilled worker fees are paid separately. The factory also provides subsidies for health."
HR & Admin Manager, Karisma Apparel (Myanmar) Co.,Ltd., Tun Zaw Myint, said "We obey the Social Security Law. We also claim to get the compensation for the injured in the workplace. Every pregnant woman is entitled to maternity leave which starts 6 weeks before the birth and finishes 8 weeks after the birth with full salary."
The Ministry of Labour is also working to issue national-level employment certifications to skilled workers especially to garment workers.
