Electricity Distribution: Switchyard to be constructed at Ahlone Power Station

The Ministry of Electric Power has been making efforts for the public and industries in regions and states to use sufficient electricity. The Ministry is also drawing up plans to supply more power due to the annual increase in electricity consumption.

It is learnt that in Yangon, the 230 KV Ahlone Power Station is distributing the electricity and a switchyard will be constructed in the compound of the Station.The switchyard will have fire protection wall, oil storage tank and fire suppression system. The Station’s overloaded old transformers will be substituted with new ones. Power lines will be adjusted as well to assist the electricity system in distributing stable power.
