Sport Sector: U-18 Men’s Football Tournament in Taunggyi

Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye attended the opening of the U-18 Men’s Football Tournament for the Chief Minister’s Trophy on Saturday evening.

In his opening speech at State sports ground in Taunggyi, the Chief Minister said that this tournament is to raise the level of football sport in Shan State, to turn out new generations of athletes and to bring out the outstanding new generation of athletes for the country.

And, the Chief Minister watched the football match of Mongsat District Team against the Kokang Self-Administered Zone Team.This U-18 Men’s Football Tournament for the Chief Minister’s Trophy participated by 15 teams in 4 groups is set to take place till the 5th of May.
