Tourism sector: Region Tourism Work Committee held meeting

The Sagaing Region Tourism Work Committee held a meeting (4/2023) was held at the region government office in the afternoon on 28th April with the attendance of the Chairman of Region Tourism Work Committee Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw and Vice Chair Region Minister for Economic Affairs Daw Yi Yi Than.

First, the Chairman of Region Tourism Work Committee Chief Minister gave an opening remark followed by the clarification of the region minister for economic affairs regarding with the regional tourism industry. And the committee secretary, region head officers of the directorate of tourism administration clarified regarding with the renewal of guesthouse and hotel, status of tourists arrival in hotels and guesthouses during March and the status of tourists visiting in prominent destinations with power point.

Next, the meeting attendees discussed and gave necessary suggestions. In response to the discussions and suggestions, the Chief Minister coordinated on the requirements.

Afterward, the Chief Minister and official held a coordination meeting to organize the ceremony of water pouring to the Bodhi tree on the Buddha Day which falls on full moon day of Kasone.

The chairman of organizing committee region minister for social affairs clarified the preparations for organizing the Buddha Day and ceremony of water pouring to the Bodhis trees. Then, the duties and functions of each committee were explained to organized the Buddha Day successfully.

Next, the region government members and meeting attendees gave necessary suggestions to hold the ceremony successfully.

Upon the discussions, the Chief Minister fulfilled requirements, coordinated necessary matters and gave a speech of conclusion.
