Rail services in California were temporarily halted on Thursday, due to debris falling from a hillside in San Clemente, according to a statement from the Orange County, California Transportation Authority. It said the tracks would be re-opened once it is determined that trains can travel safely there.

Aerial video of the area from KABC-TV/ABC7 Los Angeles showed an area of the slope affected by an apparent landslide, along with damage to a hilltop building that overlooks the ocean.
