Education Sector: 478 Lu Yee Chuns from across the country took excursion

With the aim to develop human resource for the country, the Ministry of Education annually selects all-round outstanding students (Luu Yee Chun) across the country.

During 2022-2023 Academic Year, the Government arranges the excursion trips for Youths who were chosen as outstanding students across the country to Bagan Archaeological Zone, Taunggyi and Ngwe Saung.

 Altogether 478 Lu Yee Chun Youths together with teachers and related camp in-charges left to Bagan, Taunggyi and Ngwe Saung Camps from Nay Pyi Taw on 27th April.

Among them, Grade-8 Luu Yee Chun Youths from all regions and states together with teachers arrived at the Bagan Lu Yee Chun Camp on 27th April.

Co-Camp In-Charge, Dr. Shwe Sin Ei, Bagan Lu Yee Chun Camp, said "The country is turning out the outstanding youths with the aim to develop human resources. The selection students will study pagodas and other places in Bagan Archaeological Zone. Starting from October 2022, the Ministry of Education chose these Lu Yee Chun Youths for 2022-2023 Academic Year according to schools/township/district level."

Teachers from all regions and states will supervise 160 Lu Yee Chun youths along their excursion in Bagan. And their way to Bagan Lu Yee Chun Camp, officials from District/Township Administration Offices, locals, 300 local students and also local teachers warmly welcomed them. 

Lu Yee Chun Student, Aung  Zaw Lin, Shan State (South), said "I want to be an all-round outstanding student, so, I tried hard to study my lessons and I put a lot of efforts on sports also. As soon as I arrive at this camp, I start to make friend with each other. I’m pleased to seeing welcome to us with Bagan Traditional dance and flowers. I would like to say thank to the concerned officials and teachers for this excursion trip."

The Ministry of Education is implementing Lu Yee Chun project with the aim to turn out outstanding students across the country.

During 2022-2023 Academic Year, 160 Grade-8 Lu Yee Chun students, 160 Grade-10 Lu Yee Chun students and 158 Grade-11 Lu Yee Chun students across the country could be successfully turned out.

Taunggyi Lu Yee Chun Camp in-charge, Deputy Director General U Myint Lwin led the Grade-10 Lu Yee Chun Youths to Taunggyi. They arrived in Kalaw Township at 10 AM and welcomed by the locals.
