Vocational education: work-ready curriculums of subjects prepared

Starting from the 2023-24 Academic Year, High Schools of Government for Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding will teach work-ready curriculums of practical and theoretical subjects. As the Industrial subjects: Building Technology, Electrical Technology and Machining Technology will be given during three school years.

Director, Course Curriculum division ,Dr Pyae Kyaw Thu said "In the first year, we will teach technological subjects- basic technical drawing and basic computer science besides, Grade-10 Myanmar, English, Mathematics, Physics and chemistry and morality and civics subjects. In the second year, we will teach respective four technical specialized subjects in addition of Grade-11 English, Mathematics, combined science- physic and chemistry, morality and civics subjects. In the third year- we will teach Grade-12 English, Mathematics, combined science and also four technical specialized subjects."

On month on job training programme will be provided for the students who finish second mid-term exam.

Director, Course Curriculum division, Dr Pyae Kyaw Thu said "The students who finish Building Technology, they can gain the skillful of the civil drawing, building material construction, bar panning, brick laying, carpentry and wood working etc. The students who finish electrical technology, they can gain the skillful of electrical drawing, electrical engineering principal and electrical installation, PNC, Industrial motor control and they will be skilled in electrical machines. "

The students who finish Machining Technology specialized subject, they can get the skillful of the engineering drawing and machines drawing, batch work, lash work, milling works, arc welding and gas welding etc.

As the students who choose the industrial technical subjects can gain job opportunities and increase the individual incomes through the Government technical high schools and high Schools for Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock Breeding.
