Vesting victorious flag: SAC Chairman vested victorious flag

The Chairman of Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered a speech at a ceremony of vesting victorious flag to Myanmar Sports contingent which will compete in 32nd SEA Games to be hosted by Cambodia was held at Wunna Theiddhi stadium (B) in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 25th April.

The Vice Chairman of State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win, Council joint-secretary Lt. Gen. Ye Win Oo, Council members, Union Ministers, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air), senior military officials from the Officer of Commander In Chief, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command and senior officials, chairmen of Myanmar Sports Federations, athletes, administrators and coaches attended the ceremony.

First, the sports groups paid respect to the SAC Chairman Prime Minister and introduced themselves. Next, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister delivered a remark saying as the 32nd SEA Games will be started within a few days, the athletes’ physical and mental readiness is believed.

The public will also expect the victories of the athletes. This sports competition is a good opportunity for the atheles to show the sports ability and to raise the prestige of the country. The SEA Games is the highest Olympic in the ASEAN region.

But the athletes should not be satisfied with it and should expect and try to compete in the Asian and World Olympic sports competitions.

After taking the state responsibilities, the State Administration Council set the social objects including “To strengthen basic health care in order to achieve the emergence of a health system that enhances the longevity and health of the entire nation”.

Raising standard of the sports is a safeguarding the country. The government honored the athletes who brought the prestige of the country with the honorable medals on the 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.

In conclusion, the SAC Chairman Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the sports federations for their contribution of country’s sports sector.

Next, the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing vested victorious flag to the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan.

Then, the Union Minister U Min Thein Zan clarified the preparations of the sport teams to compete in the 32nd SEA Games. Afterward, the SAC Chairman cordially greeted the selected athletes who will compete in the 32nd SEA Games, administrators and coaches and viewed the sports equipments which will be used in the sports competitions.

The 32nd SEA Games will be held from 5th to 17th May, 2023 in Cambodia and 341 of Myanmar athletes will compete in 19 sports events.
