Italy Coast Guard comes to the rescue of migrants

The Italian Coast Guard and Finance Guard on Monday rescued migrants from three shipwrecks, according to reports. According to the Coast Guard, the first wreck occurred in Italian search and rescue (SAR) waters, off the coast of Lampedusa.

There, three people were reported missing. In the second wreck, in Maltese SAR waters, survivors reported about 20 people missing. A body was found in a boat in the third wreck, which was also located in Maltese waters. In total, more than 200 migrants reached Lampedusa on several boats on Monday.
