Opening of training: MoCRD Union Minister gave an opening remark

The opening ceremony of training on carrying out the cooperative sector development works with the country’s economic promotion fund was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Cooperative and Rural Development, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on Monday with the attendance of Union Minister U Hla Moe, Deputy Minister and senior officials.

In his opening remark, the Union Minister U Hla Moe said the state is providing country’s economic promotion funds and capitals for the development of agricultural and livestock breeding based industries of the rural population. The cooperative societies are urged to put more efforts than before. The civil service personnel need to form the societies systematically, conduct the constant supervising, oversee whether using the pedigree seeds and inputs or not, coordinate to distribute the yielded crops of the farmers by linking among the societies, relevant companies to purchase with market price. The trainees need to give special focusing on the points deserved to know from the lectures during the training on carrying out the cooperative sector development works with the country’s economic promotion fund, apply the good experiences from training and adopt the financial rules and procedures issued by the Ministry of Planning and Finance etc.

Next, the deputy minister U Myint Soe, permanent secretary U Khant Zaw, director general of the department of cooperative U Aung Thura clarified the emerald (cooperative) projects.

For the cooperative sector, the proposal of 12.353 billion Kyats was planned for 8 regions and states, self-administered division, 3 zones with the country’s economic promotion fund and the plan has been implementing with 8.905 billion Kyats and the rest 3.448 billion Kyats will be implemented with the permission of the levels of committees in coming season.

The training is being attended by a total of 464 trainees including 249 departmental staffs, 215 from cooperative societies including the executive members and staffs for two days from 24th to 25th April.
