Spanish military evacuates civilians from Sudan

The Spanish military has organized a rescue flight out of war stricken Sudan for around 100 foreign nationals. An A400 plane was carrying approximately 30 Spaniards and 70 people of other nationalities after taking off from a military airport in Khartoum. The plane was expected to make its first stop in Djibouti. Apart from the Spanish citizens, the group included Italians, Portugueses and Irish citizens.
