Electric towers repairing: 3 towers connecting Nat’l Grid damaged by strong wind

The Ministry of Electric Power is carrying out the repairing works of 3 Towers connecting 230kv Baelin-Ohntaw National Power Grid passed near Tada-U Township of Mandalay Region.

Those towers fell down due to the strong wind on 20th April. The Ministry of electric power is implementing speedy repairing and constructing works to complete and to provide sufficient power supply to the public while prioritizing worksite safety.

The 230 kV Baelin-Ohntaw National Grid distributes 340 MW of electricity to towns and villages in Sagaing and Magway Regions, Kachin and Chin States.  The repairing works are being carried out with the 250 electric power skilled workers dividing three groups to transmit and distribute electricity to the public as quickly as possible.
