
More than 10 billion Kyats worth drugs and stimulant tablets carried by evading Kywe Tat Son Checkpoint in Tharsi Township of Mandalay Region were captured, Myanmar Police Force stated.
Tipping information to carry drugs by evading the Kywe Tat Son Checkpoint off by a citizen with the sense of obligation, a combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a NISSAN CABSTAR vehicle driven by Weilu Thuta accompanied by Thura Aung on a road from Yinmabin Village to Taung Gwa Village in Tharzi Township at 9:30 Am on 19th April and captured More than 10 billion Kyats worth 6.18 million stimulant tablets, 10 Kilos of Ketamine, 4.12 Kilos of Happy water hidden with empty bottle bags on the vehicle.
According to the investigation, the drugs were carried from Shan State (South) to Mandalay Region and the Police force has taken legal action against the offenders and an investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators of the crime chain. The seizure of drugs was the result of cooperation of the citizens with the sense of obligation with the Anti-Drug Police Force, it’s reported.
