Agriculture & Livestock Sector: Dy Minister meets entrepreneurs, holds meetings

Deputy Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation Dr. Aung Gyi held talks with livestock entrepreneurs in Magway Region.

In this meeting at a livestock farm in Yaypyae Village of Myothit Township, the Deputy Minister stressed that according to the market economic system, all production activities are carried out by the private sector, and the improvement of livestock sector depends a lot on the efforts of the private sector, so there is a need for a balanced cooperation between the department and the private sector. And, he inspected Napier grass planting, harvesting and production conditions, awareness programmes and animal infectious disease prevention activities.

The Deputy Minister also held a meeting with concerned officials in Magway and called for efforts to improve rice production and yield of crops, to ensure proper price and market and to provide necessary knowledge and technologies for the development of high-value finished food products along with the production of raw crops.

He also attended a meeting at the Magway Region Government Office for completion of implementation of state economic promotion projects and plans.
