New Year Occasion: SAC member participates in good deeds events

Mandalay Region government organized the Paritta recitation, alms offering, rice offering, fish releasing and respects paying to the elderly ceremonies on the New Year Occasion. At the city hall and in front of the hall of Mandalay City Development Committee, Member of the State Administration Council U MaungKo and Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung donated cash and kind donated by the Mandalay Region Government to members of the Sangha and offered dawn meals to members of the Sangha.

The SAC member and party and local people also offered dry rations and alms to 108 members of the Sangha and released 30,000 fishes into the moat. Led by the Mandalay Region Government, the SAC member and party paid respects and donated cash to the elderly aged above 90 from seven townships at the city hall. Also, the Mandalay Region Chief Minister and party listened to Paritta recited by members of the Sangha.
