









People across Myanmar celebrated the 4-day traditional Thingyan water festival. On the final day of the festival on Sunday, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and many other officials visited the Walking Thingyan of the Military Computer and Technological Institute in Hopong Township of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone for the Thingyan festival participation.
There, the Chief Minister presented cash awards to members of the Yein troupes for their stage performances. The Chief Minister also visited the Hopong Thingyan Pavilion, enjoyed the Thingyan festivities including Yein dance and presented cash awards.
Also, he participated in the Thingyan celebration at the Shan State’s central Thingyan pavilion in Taunggyi Township and presented cash awards to artistes. It’s reported that those in Shan State also enjoyed the Inle Floating Thingyan.
