Thingyan Festival: Water Pandals opened in Nay Pyi Taw Zeyarthiri

Opening ceremony of the Thingyan Pandal of the families of Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy, Air) was held at the lawn of Nay Pyi Taw Zeyarthiri on Thursday. On behalf of the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the ceremony was attended by Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council, Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice Senior General Soe Win.

After formal opening of the ceremony, the Vice Senior General and party splashed water to the members of Yein Dance Troupes and guests. The charity foods were also served to the attendees while the artists entertained with songs and dances. In the evening, the opening ceremonies of Sein Pan, MagyiYeik and Nay Pyi Taw Command pandals were held near the families housing in the compound of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) Office. Thingyan dance troupes and vocalists will perform at those pandals from the Akyo to Atat Day of Thingyan Water Festival.
