



The Department of Trade under the Ministry of Commerce has been issuing automatic export licenses through the Trade Net 2.0 system for applying export and import license, starting from 1st April. In the export sector, 10,293 out of 11,849 companies will be approved as automatic licensing and only 1,556 companies will be inspected by the departments as non-automatic licensing.
Aiming for the facilitation of trading processes, automatic export license issuance has been started through Trade Net 2.0 system.
Deputy Director, Department of Trade, Kyaw Soe Win, said " In the past, those who want to get export and import license needed to apply in person but at present, auto and non-auto have been divided according to the HS 2022 version. 10,293 out of 11,849 companies will be allowed as automatic licensing and only 1,556 companies will be checked by the respective department in Non-auto licensing system."
24 hour full-time service such as registration as Trade Net member with Trade Net 2.0 system, 9 related cards with export and import registration, export and import license card permit and national registration card of the original country and transport permits is being provided for entrepreneurs to easily carry out licensing procedures.
Deputy Director, Department of Trade, Kyaw Soe Win, said " As it’s not needed to go to office in person for licensing issues, it’s really convenient for businessmen and entrepreneurs and can apply license as many as they want in addition to saving time and money."
Export will be carried out via sea routes and border gates. In addition to launching and sharing Trade Net 2.0 knowledge to public, it will be widely shared on Facebook Page and the Official website of Ministry of Commerce and also, the importation will start on 1st May, it is learnt.
