








The coordination meeting of National Level Central Committee for resettlement of internal displaced persons and closure of temporary IDP camps was held at the Ministry of Border Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 7th April.
First, the Chair of National Level Central Committee for resettlement of internal displaced persons and closure of temporary IDP camps Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung expressed the gaining success of resettlement process for the IDPs and pointed out to draw the plans for the matters of long term standing such as education, health, road transportation, accessibility of water and electricity and sanitation system to be better than the original condition rather than providing assistance during sheltering in the camp.
In the process of resettlement for the IDPs, by implementing for their independent and convenient living in the places including their original place and providing comprehensive assistance for their socioeconomic development, the armed conflicts and community conflicts can be reduced as well as facilited to implmement regional development plans. So, the work committees and state level committees are urged to implement effectively with the good linkage and harmoniour way.
The Vice Chair of National Central Committee Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine clarified the status of providing relief items and foods for the IDPs, collecting data and humanitarian assistance at the IDP camps, status of completing COVID-19 vaccination and plans to vaccinate, giving vocational training, plans to be carried out and the assistance provided for those who want ot return to the original place.
Then, the work committees, state level committees and secretary of national level committee clarified completion of work implementation and plans to be carried out and the work completion reports as per the sectors.
After giving reviews and suggestions by the members of national level committee, work committee and state level committee, the chair and vice chair of national level committee coordination necessaries regarding with the clarifications.
