Development Works in Shan State: Lake renovation, meeting locals and infrastructure progress

Plans are underway to dredge silts, algae and flotsams in Inn Khaung Lake of Yatsauk Township. On Friday.

Chief Minister of Shan State U Aung Zaw Aye inspected the site and gave necessary instructions. The Chief Minister and party later met with locals who engaged in agriculture and livestock breeding tasks with the State Economic Promotion Fund. In response to the reports, the Chief Minister fulfilled the needs.

They then proceeded to the Township Irrigation and Water Utilization Management Department, and discussed matters on implementation of Keng Kham Multi-purpose Dam. The project aims to provide water for power generation and irrigation purposes. Upon completion, it could generate 24 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually. The Chief Minister and party later inspected potato plantation of Tatmadaw (Army) Combat Force School (Ba Htoo) and the Diversion Weir of Ba Htoo Stream which irrigate 175 acres farmland.
