





The evaluation and coordination meeting on the undertakings to be proceeded and visual findings of the visual inspection team visited Bangladesh for the repatriation of displaced persons according to the Pilot Project under the bilateral agreement between Myanmar and Bangladesh was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Border Affairs in the morning on 5th April.
Present at the meeting were the Chairman of Rakhine State Stability, Peace and DevelopmentWork Coordination Committee Union Minister for Border Affairs Lt. Gen. Tun Tun Naung, Vice Chair (1) Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing, Vice Chair (2) Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Thet Thet Khine, committee members deputy ministers and officials in person and the Vice Chair (3) Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin and state minister for security and border affairs attended the meeting via Zoom Application Online System.
First, the coordination committee chair said the meeting is held to assess and give suggestions on the latest developments regarding with the report compiled by the Immigration and Citizenship Scrutinizing Work Committee on the findings of visual inspection team in Teknaf of Bangladesh.
Next, the vice chairs discussed scrutinizing and accepting the displaced persons from Rakhine State, resettlement, providing humanitarian assistance, status of collaborating with UN agencies and international organizations and the plans to be implemented. Then, the secretary of Immigration and Citizenship Scrutinizing Work Committee clarified the report on the findings on true cases on ground of visual inspection team in Bangladesh. Afterward, the coordination committee chair and vice chairs coordinated necessaries on the discussions and reports of the relevant work committees.
