Court Annual Report: Court Annual Report 2022 published

The Court Annual Report 2022 (both English and Myanmar versions) is published by the Supreme Court of the Union on 5 April 2023. The Report is also uploaded and accessible on the website of the Supreme Court of the Union http://www.unionsupremecourt.gov.mm.

Court Annual Reports have been issued annually since 2016 to enlighten the performance of the Supreme Court of the Union and the Courts at different levels. The objectives of issuing the Court Annual Report are to be transparent and accountable the process of the judiciary; to have a realistic assessment on the activities of the Court; to have a better performance of the Court and to raise public awarness about the judicial reform processes.

The Court Annual Report 2022 is arranged with four chapters: Overview of the Court System and Administration; Significant Performances of the Supreme Court of the Union in 2022 with highlight of performances during Covid-19 pandemic; Performance of the Courts; and Implementation of the Year Five Strategic Action Plan (2022) including the appendices and highlights so as to be easily comprehensible not only by the legal practitioners, court users but also by the public.
