Renovation works of ancient building: Bago Region CM closely supervised the renovation works

According to the guidance of the Chief Minister of the Bago Region Government, a committee was formed for the all-round renovation works of the Shwemawdaw pagoda.

Within a month after the committee was formed, comprehensive renovation work was carried out as soon as possible. The temple, which was built with teak, has been there for more than a hundred years.

So, It has been maintaining the various ways with all-round renovation works. Regarding the various repairs and maintenance, it has already been submitted to the Ovadacariya Sayadaws. It has already known as KyaukBaDaung Damaryone in the past. Now, it has been renovating as of the Golden Temple. The Board of trustees also had to prepare and maintain the damages caused by the earthquake.

As it’s a main venue on the pagoda platform where the meetings and religious ceremonies are held, the renovation is intended to be long term durability.

The building was decorated with the Myanmar traditional Arts and handicrafts. The Government, local people and well-wishers are contributing to the renovation and maintaining works of the historic building on the pagoda platform. It has cost over 30 million kyats.
