Regional Development: Meeting with staff, preparations for upcoming academic year

Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw, together with officials met with the district and township level departmental personnel and townselders in Kantbalu on 31st March. Officials reported on the development works.

The Chief Minister later explained the implementation of agriculture, livestock breeding, education, health, economic, social and transportation sectors. He also said that the special emphasis is being made for achieving regional stability and rule of law.

The Chief Minister later presented 50 million kyats for construction of bridge connecting Kan Yoe Village in Kantbalu Township and Mu Khwa Village in Taze Township. He also provided cash assistance for the staff.

On the 1st of April, the Chief Minister held a coordination meeting for opening of summer sports training and preparation for 2023-2024 academic year.

He instructed to conduct cultural and moral courses as well as painting, cartoon, poster and computer training during summer holidays. He said starting the coming academic year, the Industrial, Agriculture and Livestock High Schools will be opened in Monywa, Sagaing, Shwebo and Nan Yun of Naga Self-Administration Zone.

The school enrollment activity will commence on 23rd May, and all are urged to make systematic work process for ensuring enrollment of all school-going aged children.

Officials later reported on the preparation measures for conducting summer sports training, durability of school building, teacher requirements and plans for cent percent opening of the basic education schools in the upcoming academic year.
