Drugs Seizures: Thousands of stimulant tablets, opium seized

Illegal drugs were seized in Mandalay Region and Shan State. In Maha Aungmyay Township of the region and in Naungcho and Ywangan townships of the state, over 91,000 stimulant tablets and 16 kilograms of opium were seized.

6 men and 5 women were arrested along with the seizures. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken against the suspects in line with the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
