Students hold vigil for Brazil teacher killed in school attack

Students gathered in front of Sao Paulo's public School Thomazia Montoro on Tuesday, to pay homage to a teacher who was fatally stabbed by a 13-year-old student. The attacker entered the class on Monday wearing a skull mask and stabbed 71 year-old Elisabeth Tenreiro from behind, hitting her head and back.

Three other teachers and two students were wounded and are in stable condition. “My indignation is knowing that this was not the first, and it will not be the last. That unfortunately there will be more, as it already happened. We thought that only the United States was a monster machine, but no, in Brazil as well, monsters are also being created here,” said one of the parents who pay respects to the teacher.
