


YBS buses operating in Yangon to run during the Thingyan period, project are designed with 20 YBS companies. The aim of the project is for the public to get smooth transportation without scratches during the Thingyan festival.
Joint secretary, YRTC, Lyan Cin Mang, said " We made this project for the public can travel easily and smoothly,not to cause accidents and collect charges more than ordinary prices during the Thingyan period.From 9th to 12th of April - over 1350 buses of 117 YBS bus lines will operateas usual. On the eve of Thingyan, the first day of the festival, 16 companies will operate and around 1430 buses of 67 bus lines will operate. On the second day of Thingyan (A Kya Nei), 1290 buses of 63 bus lines will operate.On the third day and fourth of Thingyan festival,1288 buses of 63 YBS bus lines will run.On the New Year's Day, 18 companies will run and. Among the 18, one company will provide free public transportation on three bus lines."
Instructions were issued to YBS companies to avoid inconvenience to the public transportation during the Thingyan festival.
