Handing over ceremony: A new school building handed over in Pahtet village

Taninthayi Region Chief Minister U Myat Ko together with the Coastal Region Command Commander and departmental officials attended the hand-over ceremony of KyunShweWah new school building of Pahtet village basic education high school in Kyunsu township in commemoration of 78th Anniversary Armed Forces Day on 27th March.

The new school building of Pahtet basic education high school is a 2-storey one and it was constructed by Pyae Phyo Tun International Ltd., with the cost of over 945 million kyats and it was handed over to the Basic Education Department on Monday. The new facility was opened by the Commander, the regional ministers and officials and the Chief Minister and officials unveiled the stone inscription of the building.

Later, the Chief Minister and party viewed around the computer room, language lab and science and art rooms. In the handing over ceremony, the Region Chief Minister gave a speech and spoke words of thanks to the donor family. After that, the well-wisher explained about the purpose of the donation and handed over the documents related to the new school building to the region education officer.

The Chief Minister then presented 10-set of computers provided by the Region Government to Pahtet high school and the Commander of Coastal Region Command also presented 5-set of computers for the school to the Chairman of the School Welfare Committee. Officials then presented exercise books and pencils for the students and school uniforms for teachers.

Then, the family of well-wisher presented cash for the education fund and all-round development of the school. The Chairman of the School Welfare Committee also presented commemorative pennants marking the celebration to the chief minister and officials and the students staged performances.
