Illegal Trade: Illegal timber and goods confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24th of March, illegal timber and goods including solar panels, solar air-conditioner, computer compact discs and air filters worth over 298 million Kyats were confiscated in Bogale and Pathein townships, on the Yangon-Mandalay Expressway, at Htee Tan Port container checkpoint and at Asia World Container Checkpoint. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
