Russia launches military satelite

The Russian Defence Ministry released on Thursday footage that showed a Soyuz-2.1, a medium carrier rocket, carrying a military satellite being launched from the Plesetsk Cosmodrome. The ministry reported that "a stable telemetry link is established and maintained with the spacecraft" and "the onboard systems of the spacecraft are operating normally."
