Teen driver in crash that killed 5 had no license

The 16-year-old driver involved in a deadly crash early Sunday on a New York parkway that left five young people dead did not have a license or permit to drive legally.

Westchester County Executive said Monday that the boy possibly fell asleep or became distracted when the vehicle crashed at a curve. Police said the teen was driving a rented Nissan Rogue SUV and was possibly driving from New Jersey to Derby, Connecticut, where he and the other children had recently moved.The victims were 17, 16, 12, 11 and 8 years old -- four boys and a girl.
