







Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held meeting with region, district and township level departmental officials, town elders and MSME business men in Sagaing Region at the regional government office on Monday and discussed regional development.
At the meeting, Sagaing Region Chief Minister U Myat Kyaw reported on efforts for MSMEs development in the region, arrangements for industrial zone by respective districts in the region, MSME product shows, market fair and talk shows, conducting trainings for human resource development and future work programs for MSMEs development in the region.
Later, the MSME business men in Sagaing Region reported on salient points of Sagaing Industrial Zone and industrial industries, fulfilling the needs of fuel, investment capitals for development of rice mills, electricity demand for industrial development, upgrading of industrial zones, measures for smooth flow of commodities in the region and smooth transportation, implementation of water supply system with solar for the sufficient water in Sagaing, the needs for development of silverware and bronze ware industries, operating of Mandalay-Sagaing-Indaw-Katha railway line and requirements for regional development.
After that, the Union Minister discussed encouraging and fulfilling the needs of MSME businesses by the state, investment activities in Sagaing Region, arrangements for quality paddy strains for farmers, efforts for agriculture and livestock sector development, rural development, providing necessary technology, machine and capitals for increasing income and improving social economic-life of the people by forming cooperative syndicates and holding MSME shows and competitions across the nation.
In response to the reports, the Prime Minister said that a nation has to stands up with the political driving force, the economic driving force and the defense driving force.
Among the driving forces, the economic driving force is the most important for the country's development and can contribute to stability and peace. To improve the interests of the state and the people and to promote the path that will bring prosperity to the people, the economy based on agriculture and livestock will be focused.
In regard with agriculture sector in Sagaing region, it has been seen that the region has not met the target. In order to achieve agricultural activities and to be high yield and good quality, it is necessary to have sufficient irrigated water and to apply the right cultivation method.
The Prime Minister stressed the needs on implementation of systematic breeding to fulfill bio fertilizers from the waste of animals, implementation of livestock zones, measures for cultivation of quality cotton, wheat, paddy, edible oil and sunflowers in the region, assistance for manufacturing of rubber products, arrangements for electricity supply, generating of solar power in the region, measures for hydropower projects by using effectively water resources, and encouraging to education sector for human resource development in the region.
He also stressed that raw materials, capitals, diesel, electric power and human resources are needed for manufacturing. The agriculture, livestock and industrial-based training schools are being opened in 50 districts for human resources that are necessary for agricultural and livestock sectors.
The Senior General called for departmental staffs, security organizations and locals to work together for regional development and the interests of the state and the people.
Later, the Senior General presented food stuff for the region, district, township level departmental staffs through the Monywa District Administrator and the township administrator respectively.
And then, the Senior General cordially conversed with district and township level officials, town elders and MSME entrepreneurs. The Prime Minister then observed the displays of natural resource products, food stuff, personal goods, industrial products, traditional products, clothes and traditional medicines and asked about market situation.
