Strengthening friendship: Myanmar-Russia Cadets Swimming Competition

For strengthening friendship between Myanmar and Russian Armed Forces, Myanmar-Russia Cadets Swimming Competition was opened on 14th March and Deputy Chief of Armed Forces Training Maj-Gen Ko Lay, Commandant of Defence Services Academy, Tatmadaw military senior officers, Supervisor of Russian Competition team, officers and other ranks of PyinOoLwin Station, invited guests, supervisors of competitive teams and participating cadets attended the event.

At the opening ceremony, the state flags of the two countries were hoisted and the Deputy Chief of Armed Forces Training gave an opening speech. The events of the cadets of the two countries were held. Later, the relevant senior military officers presented prizes to the cadets who won prizes in the respective events and the first day session concluded.

On Wednesday, the prize awarding and closing ceremony was held andthe Deputy Chief of Armed Forces Training gave a speech. The Commandant of the Defence Services Academy and officials presented prizes to the winning cadets of the two countries. The Swimming Competition was held with the purpose of promoting relations with internationals for the cadets of Myanmar Armed Forces. 12 cadets from Myanmar and Russia each participated in the competition.
