Illegal Trade: Illegal goods, trucks and teak confiscated

Under the supervision of Anti-illegal Trade Steering Committee, concerned officials have been making inspections on trade.

On the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th and 13th of March, illegal goods including used industrial fans, car tyres,tiles, food supplement, pregnancy supplement, solar lights, cold rolling crushing assemble, restricted energy drinks, used motorbikes, steel food carrier, electronic scales, trucks and teak worth over 1.3 billion Kyats were confiscated at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint, at the Yangon International Airport, at the Myanmar Industrial Port Terminal container checkpoint and at the Hteedan Port container checkpoint as well as in Myawaddy township and at the Yepu permanent checkpoint and on the Mandalay-PyinOoLwin Road as well as in Sagaing township and in Pandaung township. Investigation is underway and legal actions have been taken in line with the laws.
