Child Labor Eradication: Sagaing Region Committee holds meeting

Sagaing Region Chief Minister and Chairman of the Regional Child Labour Eradication Committee U Myat Kyaw addressed a meeting on child labor eradication on Tuesday. During the meeting at the regional government office, the Chief Minister stressed that concerned officials need to work on child labour eradication by drafting laws according to the international standards, and NGOs and INGOs need to cooperate.

Child labour eradication is one of the duties of all nationals. This meeting continued with discussions on the work process of the Committee and its plans as well as child labour rescue, rehabilitation, educational and vocational programmes, fund and finance, legislation and jobs creation. The Chief Minister coordinated the discussions on child labor eradication.
