“Welcome Russia” Program: MoHT Union Minister receives Russian delegation

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism U Aung Thaw received a delegation led by Di­rector of Fund RC-Investments from the Russian Federation Mr. Alexander Sergeevich Shatirov at the Ministry on Monday.

At the meeting, the Director of Fund RC-Investments of Russia said that they would like to draft the package tour programs including accommodation, visiting and food for the Russian tourists in cooperation with the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism of Myanmar. The Roscongress will cooperate for tourism industry development of the two countries and it will support for promoting of Myanmar. 

On the discussion, the Union Minister said that the “Welcome Russia” Program in Myanmar is being drafted and it will be sent to the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia after drafting the complete package tour.  The Ministry of Transport and Communications is implementing for operating direct flight of the two countries and the Ministry will cooperate for the necessary things.

It will cooperate with related departments for the convenience for Russian tourists to purchase health insurance when they enter Myanmar. The recommendations of the Russian delegation led by Di­rector of Fund RC-Investments will be put in the “Welcome Russia” Program” and will help boosting tourism industry of the two countries.
