Caracas march marks 10 years since Chavez death

The Venezuelan government and its supporters paid tribute Sunday to the late President Hugo Chávez during commemorations marking the tenth anniversary of his death. Meanwhile, regional leaders gathered for World Encounter for the validity of the Bolivarian thought of Commander Hugo Chávez in the XXI Century, also paid tribute to Chávez.

Those in attendance included Cuba's ex-president Raul Castro, Ecuador ex-president Rafael Correa, Bolivia's ex-president Evo Morales, Nicaragua president Daniel Ortega, Honduras ex-president Manuel Zelaya, and Bolivia President Luis Arce.Chávez died on March 5, 2013, after a long battle with cancer and chose current president, Maduro, a former bus driver and union leader to be his successor.
