Italian PM visits UAE, meets president

UAE president Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed met the Prime Minister of Italy Giorgia Meloni on Saturday at Al-Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi.

During their meeting, the two leaders discussed the bilateral relations between their countries and ways to build a strategic partnership, according to UAE press agency WAM.

WAM added that the meeting also touched on the importance of the United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28), which the UAE is hosting this year. Meloni arrived in the UAE on Friday for a two-day visit.
