Preliminary meeting: Meeting on holding walking Thingyan for the residents in NPT

A preliminary meeting for holding walking Thingyan to be happily participated by residents in Nay Pyi Taw in 2023 Myanma traditional Thingyan was held at the Ministry of Information in Nay Pyi Taw on Wednesday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn said that the walking Thingyan will be held in Nay Pyi Taw this year. As the event is held in Nay Pyi Taw for the 1st time, it needs to carry out as a model not to disappear Myanmar’s traditional cultural trace.

In holding the festival, arrangements will be made systematically from all corners. The Union Minister called for working together to be able to happily participate in the Myanmar’s traditional Thingyan water festival by the staff, their families and locals in Nay Pyi Taw.

Later, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint, Nay Pyi Taw Council member Col. Min Naung, Vice Mayor of Nay Pyi Taw Development Committee and officials discussed successful holding of Thingyan festival and happily inclusive by all. The Union Minister then supplemented on the reports and gave a concluding remark.
