




According to the guidance of the State Administration Council, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Science and Technology are collaborating to jointly conduct the implementation of 51 basic education high schools in townships of 50 districts across the nation.
The students can learn Industrial, Agricultural, and Livestock subjects after the Grade-9. In Bago Region, about 4 basic education high schools will teach the technical and industrial, agriculture and livestock courses to the students.
Soe Lwin, Director, Bago Region Education Officer Office, said " For building new high schools for the industrial, agricultural and livestock courses, the Ministry of Education invited tender and the construction tasks havebeen started in December last year and will finish in March this year. For students, livestock and agricultural subjects will be taught by the teachers from relevant departments. Myanmar, English, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Economics and others will be taught by basic education school teachers."
Students who have completed Grade-9 and passed the university entrance can join these schools based on their education level. It is divided into advanced, completed and special levels. Those who take agriculture or industrial subject with distinctions can directly join the relevant universities for the B.E degree.
