Blinken meets with UAE foreign minister in DC for talks

Secretary of State Antony Blinken welcomed his Emirati counterpart to Washington, D.C. for bilateral talks on Tuesday. Blinken has expressed U.S. gratitude for the UAE’s hosting of the Negev Forum Working Groups in Abu Dhabi on January 9-10, as well as the UAE’s climate cooperation and leadership ahead of COP28.

Antony Blinken, US Secretary of State said "We're working to advance the cause of regional peace, stability, security. We're working well beyond the region. And of course, we very much look forward to the UAE hosting the next COP (climate talks) and the important work that's going into that we're also doing together." Blinken has also spoken in recent weeks with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan about issues in the Middle East.
