France's Minister for Sport visits the Paris 2024 transportation sites

French Minister for Sport Amelie Oudea-Castera visited together with Minister Delegate for Transport Clement Beaune the construction site for the expansion of Paris RER line E ahead of the 2024 Summer Olympics. The whole transport network of the French capital will undergo major renovations and constructions in 2023, with a brand new Grand Paris line to be constructed.

The IOC is giving Paris organizers about 1.6 billion euros from its broadcasting and sponsor revenues toward running the Summer Games, which typically overshoot the initial budget estimates made when bidding for the games. The Paris Olympic Games will take place from July 26 to August 11 2024.
