Parade in Paris to celebrate Lunar New Year

Parisians enjoyed a colourful parade on Sunday to celebrate the Chinese Lunar New Year, marking the start of the Year of the Rabbit.

The traditional parade in Paris’ Asian district had been cancelled since 2019 because of COVID-19 restrictions. The Lunar New Year is named after one of the 12 signs of the Chinese zodiac in a repeating cycle, with this year being the Year of the Rabbit.
