Training for traditional boat race: Rowers are trained for upcoming SEA Games

The traditional boat rowers are undergoing training to participate in the upcoming 32nd SEA Games hosted by Cambodia. Coaches from Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation are giving training to the rowers.

Thein Win, Coach, Myanmar Rowing and Canoeing Federation, said " We can’t gain gold if we train in ordinary technique. We need to try hard in training. In current situation, all participating countries are modifying in training technique and they are better training than us. At least, we target to win two golds."

Myat Min Tun, Rowing Athlete, said " We are trying to gain the best. We conduct training to upgrade our skills as well as to be strong and fitness. We are trying hard to pass the old record."

There are three events that are 250-m, 500-m and 800-m race. The athletes are conducting intensive training to be able to participate in all events. Men’s open 10-scull, U-24 Men’s 10-scull, U-24 mixed 10-scull and U-24 Men’s 5-scull will include in the 32nd SEA Games that will take place in Cambodia from the 5th to 17th May, 2023.
