Assessment and overview: MoSWRR held meeting on the assessment and overview

The meeting on the assessment and overview of the tasks carried out by the head officers and in-charges from the Union Territory, Regions and States from 1st February, 2021 to 31st December, 2022 was held at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in the morning on 23rd January with the attendance of Union Minister Dr. Thet Thet Khine and officials of the ministry.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said all service personnel are honored and appreciated for the routine works carrying out with the benevolence during the period with the challenges on the security. It’s honored and appreciated for the tasks serving during the third wave of COVID-19 organizing the volunteer organizations.

During the period of COVID, all appeared to serve the duties as work from home using the online with self-confidence. The ministry needs to carry out the tasks fast and correctly in line with the policies laid out. Next, the permanent secretary clarified the completion of the tasks carried out from the 1st February, 2021 to 31st December, 2022 and the union minister coordinated and instructed the matters to be implemented.

Then, the head officers and in-charges of social welfare department and directorate of natural disaster management from the Union Territory, Regions and States reported the work implementations, the outcomes from the implementations, challenges encountered and the works planed to be carried out and the union minister coordinated necessaries and the meeting was concluded at 5 PM.

Later, the union minister, permanent secretary and officials enjoyed the dinner together with the head officers and in-charges attended from the regions and states and the union minister cordially greeted the attendees. The meeting on the assessment and overview will be continued on 24th January as the second day, it’s learnt.
