Senior-General in Thandwe: Meeting with military officers, Tatmadawmen and families

Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing met with the military officers, Tatmadawmen and families of Thandwe Station in Rakhine State on Saturday.

In his speech, the Senior General explained the efforts of the Tatmadaw for strengthening multi-party democracy and free from terrorism. He also explained the efforts for state economic promotion, development of MSMEs and repay back of foreign debts.

He pointed out the needs to strive for economic development of the country by effectively applying the natural resources and man power. At the same time, efforts have to be made for boosting production of agriculture and livestock products.

He also stressed the needs to promote the education standard of the Tatmadawmen and their offspring, and to provide books and periodicals to the libraries at the battalions and companies.

The Senior General stressed that Tatmadaw is serving for the interest of the nation, and urged all to try for self-improvement while serving for the benefits of the country.

The Senior General and wife later presented foodstuff for the military officers, Tatmadawmen and families and cash assistance for the Maternal and Child Welfare Association of the station.

The Senior General later cordially greeted the military officers, Tatmadawmen and families and fulfilled their needs.

The Senior General then presented the Oil Painting to the Commander of Northern Command, and the painting depicts the battle between Myanma Royal Army led by Maha Thiha Thura (Myawady Mingyi U Sa) under the command of General MahaBandhula and the British Troops near PanWah River in Rakhine Battle Front on 17th May 1824 during the first Anglo-Myanmar War.
